Gillian Lesley Wood (Gill)

Peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on 9th August 2019, Gill aged 69 years of Accrington. The dearly loved and devoted wife of John, loving mum of Sharon and Judi, dear mother-in-law of Simon and Chris, cherished grandma of Levi, Roman, Juddson, Indi, Misty and Woody, loving great-grandma of Ruby and Alfie, dear sister of Pat, Roy, Stephen, Ann and Linda, also a much respected sister-in-law, auntie and great-auntie and a dear friend to many.

Devoted nursery nurse and loving family lady, Gill spent her working life at Thorneyholme Road day nursery, everyone loved her, the children, the parents and their families. A beautiful lady inside and out Gill had a huge heart and always saw the best in everyone. Always happy always smiling she had a wonderful sense of fun. Gill loved Rock n Roll and always enjoyed a dance, she loved to make other people happy and was truly devoted to her husband John and her girls.
She will be remembered for bringing sunshine to the lives of all those she touched.
