George Benting

George Edward Benting of  Park Street Accrington, passed away at The Woodlands Care Home, Clayton le Moors after a short illness on 7^th October 2021 age 92.

George was the son of the late Thomas Edward Benting and Gladys May Benting. He leaves his son Phillip, daughter Hazel, daughter in law Donna, brothers Harold, Gerald and David, sisters in law Olive and Pat, nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. George is now reunited with his beloved wife Ellen.

George was a member of the Canine Club Accrington from 1960 until he passed away. Where he loved to play snooker until recent years. He was also a keen darts player.

George was Much loved by his family and will be sadly missed.

Phillip would like to say a special thankyou to Donna and Key2Support for their love and care of George over the last eight years, enabling him to live at home until the last few weeks of his life.

Family flowers only, however, donations are welcome to be received at Champ funeral services for Woodlands Care Home Activity fund in appreciation of their care of George in his final days.
