Geoff's funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium, Burnley Road, Accrington BB5 6HA. Led by The Salvation Army Major Lorraine O'Neill & Lianna Champ.

Geoff Thomas Nowell
Suddenly at his home in Lytham St Annes on the 6th November 2022, Geoff aged 43 years formerly of Accrington. The loving dad of Stan and Tommy, adored son of Anne and the late Barry, loved brother of Peter, devoted uncle of Alfie also a good friend and work colleague to many.
Geoff was born and raised in Accrington, he attended Peel Park primary school before moving onto finish his education at Moorhead high school, Geoff didn’t care to much for school and thoroughly loved it when the school day was over. Upon leaving education Geoff secured himself an apprenticeship at Lupton Place in Burnley as a trainee engineer before serving in the Navy. Geoff then went on to work for British Aerospace in Warton, he loved his work and many friendships were formed. Geoff was indeed the most doting dad to his boys he thoroughly loved spending time with them. Geoff had a passion for music he was a drummer in the band Gridlock and they played various gigs all over the North West, Roy Orbison was his idol he loved listening to his music. Whilst at home Geoff loved nothing more than being cosy in front of his open fires, he had 3 of them installed at his home.
Geoff will be remembered for his love of his family, his passion of music and his bubbly sociable personality.

Geoff was a top bloke! I’ve only known geoff for a couple of years and some of the stories I can tell are something I will never forget. Geoff took myself and Charlie under his wing at work, the laugh we had everyday will always keep a smile on my face! A true character, you will be missed my mate! A proper Accy Lad! Wotsit x

MY FRIEND GEOFF As I dry my eyes, from the tears I have cried. Through a cloudy stare, I see you there. A vision so clear, all dressed in white, The big O is playing “I Drove All Night” I will never forget, the day we met, Drumming in the band, the stage was all set. That lad from Acci, so Northern, so great, A BAE worker, you were everyone’s mate. One of a kind, you really were, A doting dad, that is for sure. Your “lawnmower” party’s…. they were the best, Enjoying everyone’s company, was always your quest. Geoff, you will be missed in more ways than one, I will NEVER forget, the day you were gone. Just when we thought our mad weekends were slowing down a bit you answered the Gridlock “Drummer wanted” ad and filled our lives with music, laughter, and totally hysterical conversations and the strangest, most welcoming bunch of friends you could ever wish to meet. I’ve never known anyone put so much effort into singing Happy Birthday or a full rendition of the Court of King Caractacus. Geoff was a lovely man and I have some fond memories. My favourite being spending one Christmas Day with Geoff and Lou and the kids family. I will hold that memory dearly forever. I’m so very sorry for your loss. Hold close the wonderful memories you have ., Hé will always be close to you . :
