Frank Howson Woodcock

Much loved family man

In Royal Preston Hospital on 22nd August 2018, Frank aged 73 years of Huncoat.  The much loved husband of Carolyn, loving dad of Amanda, Caroline and Matthew, treasured grandad of Abigail, Hollie, Lauren, Max, Lea, Aiden and Finn, brother of Lindsay and Penny and uncle to Karen, Jade and Zane.

Frank was born in Huncoat, the eldest of three children.  He worked as a Principal Engineer in Aerospace for over 37 years.  He was extremely talented at the job that he loved and it took him to many countries worldwide.  Frank loved to travel on holiday too with his family and wife of 43 years and was always proud of his suntan.  He also enjoyed his 3.5 mile daily walk with his dog Ebony who he adored.  Frank was a massive Manchester United fan being a season ticket holder since 1966 and he took Matthew on the match with him from the age of 7.  Frank was an adventurous, fun loving gentleman with many hobbies such as bird watching, bowling and gardening. He even used to grow his own fruit and vegetable in the back garden.

Frank will be sadly missed.
