Elizabeth Hillman

Elizabeth, aged 94 years passed away peacefully on 12th August, 2022 in the loving care of Manor House, Chatburn. Formerly of Whalley. The dearly loved and devoted wife of Tom, much loved mum of Ian and Tricia, dear mother in law of Berni and Clive, loving grandma of Luke, Anna, Julia and Elliot and great grandma of Megan, Alecia, Orlagh, Kenz and Ida.

Elizabeth was a very proud and elegant lady who enjoyed the finer things in life. Elizabeth loved to have her hair and nails done each week and was always immaculate, she took great pride in her appearance keeping up to date with the latest beauty products and fashion.
Elizabeth and her husband loved to travel, they travelled the world visiting lots of places, St Petersburg, Russia and New York being some of her favourites where many happy memories were made.
It was in her 40’s that Elizabeth found the career she loved, she trained and became a teacher of Typing and Short Hand. Elizabeth loved to teach children and this is something that stayed with her throughout her life teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Whilst at home Elizabeth loved to tend to her garden and keep it immaculate, she also enjoyed her lunch with a glass of wine.
Elizabeth will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
Elizabeth’s family would like to thank all of the staff at Manor House who cared so lovingly not only for Elizabeth but also for her dear Tom and their family and a special thanks to Tracy and Steph for their love and care shown to them all.
