Elizabeth Frankland ‘Betty’
Peacefully in the loving care of McAuley Mount Care Home on 11th January 2023, Betty aged 73 years. Daughter of the late Anne and John Frankland, loved sister of Harry, Michael, Dorothy, Helen, Sheelagh, Simon, Timothy and the late Pauline, a dear sister-in-law, auntie, relative and friend.
Following her school years Betty began her working career for the Inland Revenue in Manchester before moving to Derbyshire, working her way through the ranks to Senior Tax Inspector. Betty was a free spirit who knew her own mind and always enjoyed a good debate and could often be seen zipping about on he Lambretta scooter which was later upgraded to a motorbike during her younger years. She was an avid reader and had her very own library of over 4,500 books. Betty loved the natural beauty of the world and loved nothing more than getting out in to the open air for a brisk walk. She adored her family and always looked forward to gathering with her nearest and dearest.
