Eddie James

On 12th November 2021, suddenly but peacefully in hospital, Eddie, aged 71 years of Blackburn. The dearly loved husband of the late Jean, much loved dad of Lee and Nicola, dear father in law of Chris and Shelley, loving grandad to Max and Oliver, loved brother of Graham and loved brother in law of Sandra and Fred.

Eddie spent his working life as a plumber and took early retirement in his 30’s due to ill health. His main hobby was gardening and Eddie spent as much time as he could tending the garden he loved so much. Many happy hours were also spent in his greenhouse growing flowers to create a beautiful array of colour during the summer months.  A lifelong Blackburn Rovers fan, Eddie attended the matches in his younger years with Jean and her sisters and in later years he enjoyed tuning into the TV on match day for the pre-match warmup and hopefully a winning result. Eddie also enjoyed snooker and socialising with his friends and he loved music too, especially the 60’s and 70’s eras. A devoted family man, he loved times spent watching his grandsons in their sports – Max playing football and Oliver swimming. His family will always remember Eddie for his fun loving ways and being able to find a solution for every problem. Now re-united with his loving wife Jean.
