Doreen Carr

At her home, Dove Court Nursing Home on 10th September 2023 Doreen aged 82 years formerly of Kirkham. The devoted wife of the late George Henry, much loved mum of Jason, Douglas and Denise, a cherished nana and great-nana, a dear relative and loved friend of Alice.

To Doreen her family and friends were truly the centre of her universe, she was the most doting mum, nana and friend and loved nothing more than spending time with them. Each Sunday, Doreen would treat herself to a cocktail and was a regular face at The Prairie where she was loved by all the Staff. She spent her life as a housewife taking care of her family’s needs, always keeping the house running like clockwork. Doreen lived an uncomplicated life and treated each day as a blessing. She adored the Isle Of Man and always looked forward to her visits and over the years she created many wonderful and happy memories with family and friends.

I really am so sad to hear about my ‘great’ aunty Doreens passing. I will always remember her as my cuddly aunty. Thank you aunty Doreen for lovely memories when we met for your birthday lunch, when we froze outside seeing you during lockdown when you was toasty warm and for always making us feel welcome and loved, as much as we love you. I will miss you. Xxx
