Donald William Hartley

Donald passed away peacefully on Monday the 15th January 2024 aged 92.

He had enjoyed the last 12 months living at the Woodlands care home.

He will most probably be remembered for the time he and his wife Kathrine both ran” the Dairy” grocers shop on Glebe St and their milk round, both in Great Harwood.

His family hold very fond memories of Dad, Grandad, and Uncle, they have also opted for the more modern approach of a direct cremation which means that there will be no traditional funeral service as such, nor will there be a cremation to attend. This leaves it open for family and friends to celebrate his life in a way they see fit. Probably with a” Wee Dram” which he was known for being fond of.
