David Holden

Peacefully in hospital with his daughter Julie and his brother-in-law David at his side on 21st November 2023, Dave aged 82 years of Langho. The devoted and loving husband of Patricia, adored dad of Julie and her partner Ian, cherished grandad of Rebecca and William, great-grandad of Archie and Millie, dear brother-in-law of David, best friend of Roger and a respected relative and friend to many.

Dave spent his working life as a brewer working at Matthew Brown. He loved his work and was a well respected colleague making many good friends over the years. He loved the outdoors, nature and the natural beauty of the world and David loved nothing more than escaping the hustle and bustle of daily life with a trip to the Lakes to enjoy a long walk often accompanied by one of his much adored spaniels. Dave was a keen classic car lover and was over the moon when his family hired him an old Jaguar for his 60th birthday. He was the most doting husband to his beloved Patricia and together they shared many wonderful and happy holidays travelling to their favourite destination in the South of France where they would often be joined by friends creating many wonderful memories. He adored driving and Dave was at his happiest when behind the wheel setting out on a long road trip. He was a former member of the congregation at St Leonard’s and David will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
