David Andrew Sledden

Suddenly but peacefully in hospital following a short illness on 14th October 2020 surrounded by his loving family, David aged 57 years of Accrington. The devoted husband of the late Irene, loved brother of Trish, dear uncle of Kayleigh and Jason, a great uncle to eight, treasured cousin to Sean and his family and also a loved relative and friend to many.

David worked as an HGV driver for SB Tippers, Great Harwood for over twenty years, he was a well respected and loyal member of the working team. David was passionate about his work and loved being out on the open road. In his spare time David loved to get out in the open air for a spot of fishing and shooting. At home he enjoyed watching youtube video and he had the most wicked and dry sense of humour.

David was truly devoted to his late wife Irene and they were perfect together, they enjoyed many holidays with trips to their beloved static caravan and also made wonderful memories visiting Australia to see Irene’s son.

A true and loyal relative and friend who will be greatly missed.
