Colin Thomas
‘Ducking and Diving, Bobbing and Weaving’
Peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on 2nd June 2023, Colin aged 79 years of Clayton-le-Moors. The loving husband of Joan, loved dad of Nigel, Dean, Melanie, Donna, Colin, Kelly, David, Vincent, Robert and the late Nicola and the late Ian, an adored grandad and great-grandad, dear brother of Veronica, Tony, Michael, Libby, Marion and a dear relative and friend to many.
Born in Stockton-on-Tees Colin grew up in the town of Staithes and made the move to Lancashire in mid 70’s. He spent most of his working life as a welder fabricator working in various places before taking his retirement from his position as a landscape gardener for a private house in the Springhill area and in his own words Colin was ‘A Jack of all trades and master of none’. He was the most devoted family man and loved each and every member of his family and loved nothing more than gathering them all together. He loved camping especially at Saltburn, Morecambe and Burnley, Colin loved the countryside and always looked forward to a ride out to enjoy a delicious meal. He had the most amazing sense of humour and could talk about anything to anyone. He was a well known local character who will be missed by many.
