On 1st October 2026 suddenly at his home, Chris, aged 82yrs of Blackburn. The dearly loved husband of the late Brenda (nee Renshaw), much loved dad of Andy and daughter in law Suzanne, loving grandad of Ben and Emma, great grandad of Theo and Rory and a much love Godfather of Mike and Laura, and Uncle Chris to so many.
Chris was a wonderful character whose infectious laugh, warm heart and natural humour made him a joy to know. With a twinkle in his eye, he had a lovely laidback nature.
A talented mechanic with a lifelong passion for cars, Chris work for Cross Recovery. He also ran his own garage and then spent 25 years with Ciceley Commercials. He loved his work and often repaired cars for family and friends. He loved Formula One, particularly Lewis Hamilton and never missed a Grand Prix. Amsterdam was a favourite place for Chris and he thoroughly loved the way of life.
Chris and Bren were a great couple, lived a happy life filled with family, friendship, dancing and wonderful memories. Generous with his time and affection, Chris had a special gift for making people smile, often laughing so much at his own stories that he could barely finish them.
He leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter and treasured memories, and will be remembered with enormous affection by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
Flowers are being gratefully received at the Chapel of Rest.
