Catherine Pilkington

Peacefully at home on Monday 28^th June 2021, Catherine Marguerite Pilkington, age 77 years, dearly loved Wife of John, much loved Mum of Karen and Tracey, Mum in Law to Brian and devoted Grandma to Jake, Toni, Amber, Mollie, India and Brooke and dearest Aunt to Helen and sister to the late Harry, Harold, Mary, Ernie and Peter to whom she was all close 

Cath worked up until she became poorly with her first jobs starting in the local mills and then various jobs in Clayton, working in Carlton and Odeon Cinema, then for many years at the Middle Club, Clayton le Moors, where she met the love of her life John and went on to be married for 43 years, she then went to work in all the Prestage Brothers Shops and Corrigans’ Bakery and the Chip Shop on the Square, making her a well known face around Clayton 

Cath loved her holidays in between work, from Blackpool to Lake Garda and enjoying many cruises, she liked baking in the bit of spare time she had

Unfortunately Cathy was very poorly in her later life but was blessed to have a devoted, loving husband, who cared for her right until the very end.
