Carol Walker née Shields

Peacefully at Townfield Care Home on 10th September 2021, Carol aged 80 years of Clayton-le-Moors, formerly of Newcastle and Carlisle. Loved daughter of the late Tommy and Margaret, the devoted wife of the late John, loving mum of Johnny, Noleen, Janet, Lorraine, Stephen, the late Alison, the late Michelle, the late Kevin and the late twins Peter and Tommy, a cherished grandma and great-grandma, dear sister of Tommy, Peter Christine and the late Pauline and sister-in-law of  Marlene.

Carol was a well known, popular and loved lady in the local community, especially on Arthur Street, where she lived for many years and was adored by her neighbours. In her younger years, Carol loved to be out and about and could often be found enjoying half a lager chatting away to her many friends, she was also a regular face at Carlton Bingo, where she often won prizes. Carol enjoyed music and loved to listen to her favourite Rock n Roll tracks as well as hits from Daniel O’Donnell, Elvis and Showaddywaddy. Her family was important to her and she always looked forward to family visits and cuddles with Stephen and Lorraine’s dogs Bling and Ben.
