Brian Rawsthorne

On 27th January 2022, suddenly at his home, Brian, aged 69 years of Clitheroe. The devoted husband of the late Ruth for over 33 years, dearly loved husband of Sarah, dear step father of Abbi and Izzy, loved brother of Alan, Malcolm and Eileen, also a dear brother in law and uncle.

Brian began his working life at Bowker Bros Furniture Makers and worked up to foreman in the warehouse. He then worked at Rolls Royce, Barnoldswick and Ribble Cement before booming a private hire taxi driver for Stonyhurst College. Brian was a quirky character and very much lived his life in his way. True to himself, he was a free spirit who loved his holidays all over Europe. Turkey was favourite place for him and Brian was at his happiest in the sunshine enjoying a beer. Later he loved a can of Stella. Brian was also a keen gardener and loved to spend time on his allotment. He enjoyed watching films on Netflix and was also know for his creative and frequent use of expletives – his favourite words beginning with ‘f’ and ‘b”.  Brian had a devilish humour, was filled with mischief and loved a good banter.
