Brian Christopher Prince ‘Bri’

Brian Christopher Prince died suddenly at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on the 27th February 2021. Devoted and loving husband to Leigh , loving son, proud father, brother, uncle and god father also a cherished friend to so many. Although he didn’t have enough time on this earth, Bri was proud of his children and their accomplishments. His early life was spent in Boston USA and when he returned had planned many more visits to his beloved American family. Bri grew up in in his treasured hometown of Sunny Donny (Doncaster) where he spent his childhood and will be remembered by his childhood friends for his happy yet mischievous disposition. In early adulthood Bri (Pigeon) found the job of his dreams – few men are fortunate enough to experience the peace and beauty of the wide open space of our great country side and he took the greatest pleasure in being a linesman. Through this Bri gained not only some truly valued work friendships but, as he called them, his work family right until he passed. The happiest times of his life were spent with his loving wife exploring the world, travelling with friends and making so many memories. Making so many great friends by living life to the full, indulging his love of walking, having festival families, making feasts in the kitchen, singing and being the life and soul of the party. Carry the party on Bri we all love you xxx

The measure of a man….. Not how did he die? But how did he live? Not what did he gain? But what at did he give? These are the things that measures the worth of a man as a man, regardless of birth. His strength for his family, his love for his wife. These are the things that measure a life. Was he ever ready with a word of good cheer? To bring back a smile, to banish a tear? Not what did the words of his obituary say? But- How many will miss him now he’s passed away? These are the things that measure the worth of a man as a man, regardless of birth. Sleep tight Brian the man the myth and the legend ever more. My thoughts are with Leigh and your family ????
