He very proudly worked at Accrington Town Hall and called himself ‘The Town Hall Keeper’. Bernard had a massive capacity for work and for getting things and with his great interest in heritage and history started The Hyndburn Heritage Museum and was dynamic in his community care and spirit. Bernard loved to watch Friends and Salvage Hunters on TV and loved bird watching too. He loved music and his sheds, and each Christmas treated his family to his famous Turkey Curry. His Jeep was his pride and joy. Bernard will be remembered for being a loving family man and a community stalwart who always put the needs of others first.
