Barbara Warden

On 17th November 2018 peacefully in hospital Barbara aged 82 years. The dearly loved wife of Reg (now deceased), much loved mother to Beverley and stepmother to Geoffrey, cherished nana to Kate and Edward and adored aunty to Andrew and Claire.

Barbara was married to Reg whose work took them both to Africa and the Middle East. They had a wonderful and extraordinary life together travelling on business and holidays. Socialising was a large part of their lives and they held and went to the greatest parties enjoying the company of their friends. Having travelled extensively she and Reg then settled back in England and Barbara thoroughly enjoyed spending as much time as she could with Kate and Edward and she was delighted to play a large part in their lives. Barbara also loved spending time with her daughter, Beverley, and she liked nothing more than a shopping trip with her for something new – a habit she has passed on to her granddaughter Kate! Barbara (like Reg) was an avid reader of the Daily Telegraph, as well as being a keen writer and avid reader. She loved to meet up with her writing group friends. Barbara was known for her elegance and glamour as much as for her kind and generous heart.
