Barbara Williams

Peacefully on 15th September 2020, Barbara aged 83 years.

Beloved wife of the late Bill, loving mum to Diane, Gwyneth and Alison, cherished grandma to Dean, Helen, Christopher, Lewis, Lars and Lorna also a dear great grandma, sister and friend to many.

Barbara was born 1 of 9 children in Warrington and this is where she spent her childhood. Growing up and finding love with Bill,  Barbara then spent 12 months in Wales before moving to Lumb and finally settled into family life in Clayton Le Moors where she lived for over 50 years.

Barbara owed a Fruit and Veg shop at the top of Barnes Street in Clayton Le Moors, she loved her time spent there she was also a Stewardess for the Masonic Hall Mill House where she worked for many years until retirement.

Barbara loved her family around her Sunday dinner was on the menu every week for her and her family and also Christmas time was very much family time. She lived for them.

In her spare time she loved to watch tele especially her soaps, war films, westerns and Rugby. Walking around the park every day with Meg the dog was something that Barbara thoroughly enjoyed doing to keep herself active.

Barbara’s family would like to thank Altham Care Home especially Paula, Sherie and Jeanie for the love and support they have shown to Barbara and her family.
