Arthur Selwyn Kay

Peacefully at the Manor House, Chatburn on 7th May 2019, Arthur aged 91 years, formerly of Clitheroe. The devoted and much loved husband of Dorothy, loving dad of Graham and the late Trevor, cherished grandad and great grandad and dear uncle.

Arthur first began work at Lucas Aerospace in Burnley.  Very talented at his work, Arthur later worked at Burco Dean where he worked his way up to Chief Design Engineer.  He served his national service in Cockermouth with the RAF and there he played the saxophone in the RAF band.

Arthur was a devoted husband to his wife Dorothy and they were married for 67 years.

His hobbies included wood turning and he would make candlesticks, tables, stools and many other things. He loved his cars and Jaguar, Daimler and BMW were amongst his favourites.
