Nan passed away peacefully at Springhill Care Home on the 4th of November 2022, aged 95 years. 

Wife to the late Marshall, mum to Jennifer and Simon, granny/grandma to Emily, Edward, Christopher, Sarah and Matthew, mother-in-law to John and Janet also a great granny, relative and friend to many. 

Nan spent her life as a housewife, she volunteered her time to lunch clubs and Meals on Wheels. Nan looked forward to holidays with family and friends. In her spare time Nan loved to bake and she was an excellent seamstress. 

Nan was a member of the Mothers Union at St Peter’s Church, Salesbury and also a member of the WI. Nan loved to walk she would cover up to 12 miles at any one time and this was something she continued to do into her 90s, she had a great circle of walking friends and was indeed quite fit. 

Nan loved to spend time with her grandchildren she had a fantastic relationship with them, she always looked after people, and nothing was ever too much trouble. 

She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her. 

Nan’s funeral will be held at St Peter’s Church, Salesbury on Tuesday 22nd November at 1.30 pm followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium.
