Alma Fell

Peacefully at the Woodlands, Clayton-le-Moors on 16th January 2019 surrounded by her loving family, Alma aged 83 years, formerly of Grimsby and Whalley.  The devoted wife of the late Stanley, much loved ‘muz’ of Hazel and the late Christopher, and cherished grandma of Karla.

Alma worked at Calderstones Nurse Training School.  She had many good friends there and new everyone and she thoroughly loved her job.  She was a devoted family lady and she gave up work to raise her granddaughter.  Together they would play games and colour and she made life fun and full of excitement.  Alma’s proudest moment was when her granddaughter Karla graduated from Lancaster University where she witnessed her throwing her cap in the air at her graduation ceremony.

For the last 16 years, Alma lived with Hazel her daughter.  She loved to feed people and enjoyed teaching Karla how to bake. She also enjoyed reading and had a great love of cats, having 12 cats at any one time.
