MESSAGES for the family of Albert Edward Johnson (Bert)
STEPHANIE and MICHAEL
Our thoughts are with your family Bert at this sad time. We will always remember you, your passion for your garden and your determination to ‘keep going’, and your love of a good chat. In caring for your garden and keeping it so well-maintained and beautiful, you often took on tough jobs that belied your years. Walks with your devoted collie were regular events until recently, as you kept up the active life you had always lived. Bert you were a character for sure and we will miss you. From your neighbours Michael and Stephanie with love x |
Beverley (niece)
Uncle Birt I have find memories of our family holidays and the mischief me and Catherine got up to we had such good times. May you rest in peace always in my heart xxx |
Samantha
Grandad, I’ve never known a man quite like you! With your dry humour, cheeky ness and your can do attitude. My fondest memories are this of Christmas as a little girl where you would sneak over when I was sleeping in Christmas Eve to set up Barbie houses for me when I woke up! I was always so amazed that Father Christmas took the time to do that – it wasn’t until much later I discovered it was you. I’ll forever love that you made my Christmas mornings so magical! Enjoy pruning the garden in the sky, reunited with your beloved Shep. Sleep tight Grandad xx |

Thinking of you all. A lovely service for Albert today and a privilege to share in your fond memories. He was certainly a character and will be much missed on Haweswater Road. |
