Alan Fairley

Peacefully in hospital on 27th December 2020, Alan aged 80 years of Accrington. The devoted husband of the late Olwyn, much loved dad of Susan and the late Stephen, father-in-law of David, a cherished grandad and great-grandad, dear brother of Irene and respected brother in-law of Raymond.

Alan’s working life was spent mainly as a HGV driver working for many years at Hoyle and Dean. He was a much respected member of the working team and loved to be out on the open road. Alan loved cars and had was fascinated by the large American and Australian motors. He has a wicked and dry sense of humour and loved to reminisce about days gone by. Alan was a truly devoted family man and a loyal and loving husband to his late wife Olwyn. Together with his wife they loved to escape to their much loved caravan in Scotland and following retirement they would spend months at a time away at their favourite place .
