Aidan Gerrard David Morgan

On 1st December 2020 following a short illness, Aidan, aged 49 years of Whalley. The cherished and much loved husband of Kate, much loved dad of Declan, devoted Daddy of Florence and Beatrice, loved son of Colleen and the late Mick, loved brother of Ann-Marie, Tyrone and the late Siobhan and a loved brother in law, son in law and uncle.

Aidan was a larger than life character in every sense of the word. He loved his work driving the machinery and he thrived on being outside, enjoying the banter of the building sites. Once seen, never forgotten, everyone loved Aidan and in return, he had time for everyone. He told the greatest stories and had a great sense of humour. He enjoyed the finer things in life –  fine dining, wines, his designer clothes. He also absolutely adored being a Dad and he, Florence and Beatrice were like the 3 Musketeers, sneaking off to Spar for their treats. Aidan and Kate were a truly special love story. Aidan will be remembered for his love of life and devotion to the things and people he loved.

I will always remember Aidan meeting Kate after school still in her school uniform, you have have made such a beautiful family and I know he will leave a big hole in your lives (and many other lives too) but the memories of all those years together I am sure will be cherished. I have been looking through some old photos of us all, gosh didn’t we have the best time! Countless nights out, dancing, plenty of drinkies, lots of laughter and Aidan doing the V sign on nearly every photo! I know we all don’t see each other as much any more but that group will always have a special place in my heart. Love to you all xxxxxxxx

My first real memory of Aidan when we where children….coming across the green at Larkhill with Aidan walking towards us, my mum (Aidans auntie Maralynne) looked on in disbelief, Aidan was dressed as Boy George in his Culture Club days, we where in hysterics, Aidan being Aidan thought he looked really good, he will have created so many memories for so many different people throughout his life, it is these memories we need to hold dear, R.I.P Aidan, gone but never ever forgotten.

Simon Nowell
