Linda Belle Southcott

Peacefully on 11th October 2020, Linda aged 76 years of Oswaldtwistle. Dearly loved wife of Granville, devoted and loved mum of Paul and Jill dear mother in law to Jude and the late Barry, cherished granny to Laura, Autumn, Claire,  Alex and Ben, dear great-granny to Lana, Elodie, Archie, Aston and Oliver and a dear sister to Ray and Reggie.

Linda worked at Barrow print works in Whalley for many years and was a well respected member of the working team making many friends along the way. Linda was a devoted family lady and always looked forward to getting the family together, she was a doting granny and loved all her grandchildren dearly. She enjoyed days out shopping and meeting friends for a coffee and holidays were always looked forward to especially to her favourite destination of Rome and visits to The Vatican City. Linda loved her garden and loved to get out to do a spot of gardening always under the supervision of Granville.

A special thank you from Linda goes to the wonderful team at Hope House and the Macmillan and District Nurses.

Linda will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

On June 6th 44 an angel did send, a special young lady to be family and friend Born to Bessie and George who named her well. Their second of three children our Linda Bell She loved her big sister Jean Raymonde, and her younger brother Reggie to whom she was fond She grew to be lovely and bright as button. Everyone who met her loved Linda Dutton. Then in her mid teens came the love of her life John Granville Southcott, he made her his wife Their marriage was happy and gave Linda such joy Then along came Paul her special little boy. As a loving mother life got sweeter still, When along came her lovely little girl Jill Blessed with neices and nephews too many to name. She loved them all so and they loved her the same. Linda’s family was yet to grow bigger still, Thanks to Sandra and Paul and Barry and Jill They blessed her with three granddaughters Laura Autumn and Claire then grandson Alex yet it doesn’t end there. Changes for Paul then bring Juidith his wife and so grandson Ben into Linda’s life. Aston,Lana, Archie, Elodie Oliver we know, are her cherished greatgrand kids that she loved to watch grow This legacy of Linda’s is great to see the love that she shared with her family. She also loved her friends too both the old and the new We should honour her life with the things that we do Cause she may not be here to hug or to kiss, Her smile her kidness we all sure will miss. We must live as she did with happiness and love so that we will be with her one day up above. Belle Southcott.
