The funeral service to celebrate Ken's life will take place at All Saints Church, Clayton-le-Moors followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium at 12.20pm.
Kenneth Day
Well known local manSuddenly in hospital on 20th July 2018, Kenneth aged 79 years of Clayton-le-Moors. Dear son of the late Olive and the late Henry, loving brother of Helen and the late Jeffrey, dear brother-in-law of Peter, cherished uncle of Hazel and Pauline and dear friend to many.
Ken worked at NORI Bricks for 50 years from leaving school. He enjoyed his work and made many friends over the years.
He was a keen cyclist and member of CTC Cycling club for over 60 years and loved to get out on the road on his bike and always looked forward to his cycling holidays. Ken was a well-known local man who enjoyed socialising around the pubs and clubs of Clayton-le-Moors and he was a member of Clayton Conservative Club. Devoted to his dog Scot for over 16 years, Ken could often be seen out walking with his beloved companion. He also enjoyed his trips to Accrington and loved to go looking around the Market Hall and the shops.
Ken will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
