Dorothy Bolton

Passed away peacefully on 31st May 2020 aged 98 years and of Clayton le Moors. The devoted wife of the late Richard, loving mother of Bryan and Ian, loved mother-in-law of Karen and Susan, cherished grandma of Lauren, Dominic, Bethany and Patrick and a dear auntie of Carole.

Dorothy began her working life just before the start of WW2 working at ROF and later she worked part time in various shops. She was a  proud and devoted mother to her sons and spent her time running the family home. She was an active member of St Mary’s RC Church and often involved with church activities and was always available to help out with church duties. Dorothy loved to help others and for over ten years she donated her time helping out at the Oxfam shop. The most proud grandma, Dorothy always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and loved to treat them with one of her delicious cakes that she had lovingly baked.

Family flowers only please, donations may be made in memory of Dorothy on behalf of CAFOD. To make a donation click the ‘Make a Donation’ button at the bottom of this page.
