Anne White

Peacefully in hospital surrounded by her loving family on 15th May 2022 Anne aged 74 years of Great Harwood, formerly of Clayton-le-Moors, Oswaldtwistle and Clitheroe. The devoted wife of the late Raymond, much loved mum of Louise and Paul, dear mother-in-law of Chris and cherished nana of Zoe, Samantha, Thomas and Oliver, great nana of Rhyley, Kobi, Meeya, Harry, Maya, Arabella, Jude, Scarlett, Henry, Albi and Presley, adored sister of Janet and John and a well respected relative and friend to many.

Anne began her working life as a typist for Trutex, she was a whizz on the typewriter and her word count was something to be admired. She later spent time working at WH Smiths, Accrington and as a receptionist for Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council. Family was at the centre of Anne’s world and she doted on all of her brood, she was the most doting mum and nana and great-nana and always looked forward to spending special times together. Anne adored the sunshine and holidays were a favourite time for her, she loved nothing more than relaxing whilst soaking up the rays and her favourite drink was always a cup of tea. Anne adored animals especially dogs and always loved to spend time with her much loved ‘grandogs’.

I’m so very sorry for your loss, I only knew Anne for a few short years but she made such an impression on me, what a really lovely lady who adored her family. We had some giggles on my visits, putting the world to rights. I will really miss her being around. Thinking of you all at this sad time. May she rest in peace.

Anne was such a wonderful lady, I’ve known her practically all my life. I have fond memories of time spent at her home when I was young. I’ll never forget her kindness, making me a potato pie at Louise’s party as I didn’t like party food! Who else would do that? I’m so happy I saw her on my visit to the UK in March, she always made me so welcome. I’ll never forget her and will miss her. With Love xxx
