A private family funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium.
Joan Dunn
On 27th July 2020 peacefully in hospital Joan aged 77 years formerly of Haywood Road, Accrington.
The dearly loved wife of the late Geoff, much loved mum of Janet, June, Jenny, dear mother in law of Alan, Derek and John, loving grandma of David, Jenna, Kylie and Adam also great Grandma Joan to Jessica, Jack, Travis and Jennie-Leigh, much loved sister of Joyce, dear sister in law and a loved auntie of Steven and Susan, great auntie of Amy and great, great auntie of Leighton.
Joan was a very intelligent lady who was also hardworking, starting her career as a machinist, then later working as a Customer Liaison Officer at Textile Mouldings and this is where she worked for around 35 years up until her retirement.
In the evenings she would enjoy time spent either working or socialising at Willow Mount Working Men’s Club and she also loved her several trips to Bingo every week with Joyce.
Her garden was something she was proud of and spent many hours tending to it and another one of her favourite pastimes was walking her beloved companion Benji.
Joan also had a love of sport and would settle down to watch Football and Tennis on the TV when she had chance.
Joan will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
