On 8th October 2026, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, Trevor, aged 83 years, of Accrington. The much-loved and loving husband of Olwen, dearly loved dad of Baby Trevor, Julie, Sean and Hannah, dear father-in-law of Kirsty, Dave and Geoff, cherished grandad of Naomi, Lauren, Sophie and Chloe, proud great-grandad of Dominic and James, loved brother of Jean, John, Christine, Sandra and Roy, and a dear brother-in-law and uncle.
Trevor was a real character, warm and gifted with a wonderful sense of humour, he had a knack for making people laugh without even trying. He was honest, straightforward and always spoke exactly as he thought, often with hilarious results. You never quite knew what Trevor might come out with next, and that was part of what made him so special. During his working life, Trevor had various jobs, including at Accrington Brickworks, OXO and Blackburn Royal Infirmary, where he worked as a porter.
Trevor was a devoted family man, happiest enjoying the familiar comforts of home with Olwen. He was never one to shy away from the housework and happily did the vacuuming and genuinely loved washing up. He enjoyed watching David Attenborough’s wildlife programmes or settling down to enjoy his favourite sports, particularly football, cricket, rugby and darts. He had also recently attended his very first Burnley match. He loved animals, especially his dogs Astro and Susie and his old German Shepherds, Lita and Rebel. All thoroughly spoilt and adored, and they brought Trevor so much happiness over the years.
Trevor was a lovely man with no airs or graces, he had a huge heart, a quick wit and a deep love for his family. It will be his humour, his honesty, his familiar ways and the laughter he brought into everyday life that his family will remember most fondly.
He leaves behind so many happy memories and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
Flowers will be received at the Chapel of Rest.
