Memorial Book
In hospital surrounded by the love of his family on 15th March 2026, Jack aged 82 years of Accrington. The devoted husband of the late Eileen, loving and loved dad of Neil, Barry and Colin, dear father-in-law of Ashley, Ana and the late Karen, cherished grandad of Cara, Lauren, Kurt, Sophia and Maya and great-grandad of Luca and also a respected relative and good friend to many.
Jack began his working life as a Butcher working on Accrington Market, he was highly skilled in his profession and took great pride in his work. He later spent time working at Mullard’s and Fairclough’s before retiring from his position as a security supervisor. No matter where he was working, Jack always kept his feet firmly on the ground and was a well respected member of his working team.
Jack was lively and loved to talk, he could make friends at the drop of a hat and he made the most of each day, his late wife Eileen was his true soulmate and he devoted his life to her, they shared many wonderful holidays together travelling around the UK in their beloved touring caravan and for their silver wedding anniversary they set off on a road trip to Italy, which became quite an adventure, but as always, Jack took it in his stride, making it the most perfect holiday. He was partial to a drop or two of whiskey and it had to be single malt and his favourite was Isle of Jura. Music has always played a big part of Jack’s life he loved heavy rock music and throughout the years he enjoyed many concerts including Deep Purple, Queen and Status Quo and for Jack, the louder the better.
Jack was devoted to his family and he always looked forward to sharing time with those he loved and treasured, he was known for his crazy dad jokes, t-shirts and his outgoing and caring personality, he also had a soft spot for dogs, giving a loving home to many four legged friends including his companions Tommy and Charlie.
He will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, Jack, a true gentleman.
Family flowers only please, donations are being received in Jack’s memory on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Jack, a lovely man who we only met a few times at family occasions but he was chatty and friendly and told us a couple of jokes too and he left a lasting impression which we remember with a smile. Thinking of Colin, Ana and the family at this sad time.
