Claire's Funeral Service will be held at Pleasington Crematorium Chapel, Tower Road, Blackburn BB2 5LE followed by Interment in the woodland section at Pleasington Cemetery.
Following the service everyone is invited to Blackburn Golf Club to raise a glass to Claire and share fond memories.

Claire passed away peacefully aged 65 years on 31st January 2026, formerly of Blackburn and Hyndburn. The devoted and loving mum of Louis, dear mother-in-law of Rachel, cherished grandma of Miles and Blake, dear sister of Steph, Phil, Neil, Ruth and John and a loved sister-in-law, auntie, relative and good friend to many.
Claire spent most of her life living in the Blackburn and Hyndburn areas where she was a well known and loved character, she later made the move to Bristol to be near her son and his family. Claire was a talented lady with a creative gift, she was a published poet and loved nothing more than putting pen to paper to do some writing. She was a lover of the outdoors and spent much of her spare time enjoying long walks in the countryside and was a member of a local walking group. She also enjoyed gardening and dancing and music played a big part in her life. Claire spent her working life in various care settings from Wilpshire Children’s Home to Queens Park Hospital and the ESME Unit in Accrington, and with her naturally caring personality she was always a highly respected member of her working team and a firm favourite with those lucky enough to be in her care.
Claire was loved and cherished by all those who knew her, she will be greatly missed but fondly remebered.
