Nora's funeral service will be held at Pleasington Crematorium, Tower Road, Blackburn BB2 5LE

On 2nd February 2026, peacefully in a private nursing home, Nora aged 97 years of Blackburn. The dearly loved wife of the late Bernard, much loved mum of Martyn and Jane, dear mother-in-law of Carolyn, devoted granny of Thomas, Gemma and Andrew, great-granny of Dalea and Everett.
Nora began her working life as a seamstress before becoming a full time housewife, devoting her time to caring for her family and keeping the family home running like clockwork. She was the most talented cook and baker and the whole family always looked forward to be treated to some of her delicious offerings. Nora also enjoyed sewing and knitting and could often be found tending to her garden, ensuring that it bloomed in full colour throughout the spring and summer months and she would produce the greatest spring greens, tomatoes and cucumbers. Holidays were always looked forward to with many happy memories made at her favourite destination, Cornwall.
Nora was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and she will be sadly missed and fondly remembered .
No flowers by request, donations are being gratefully recieved in Nora’s memory on behalf of the RNLI.
