Theresa Abraham

On 26th November 2025, peacefully in hospital with her loving family by her side, Theresa, aged 84 years of Church. Re-united with her beloved husband Bill, son Richard (Ricky) and daughter Margaret (Maggie). Theresa was a devoted wife to the late Bill, the devoted and much loved mum of Patricia and the late Ricky and Maggie, dear mother in law to Michael, cherished grandma of Damien, Samantha and Charlotte and cherished great grandma of Kelsi, Ezra, Jennifer, Millie, Poppy, Layla, Toby and Esme.

Theresa was first and foremost a devoted family lady. Born into a big, loving family of ten siblings. Life was never dull and there was an abundance of love as heresa grew up. Though she didn’t often talk about her early years, the closeness, love, and loyalty of her family shaped Theresa into the gentle and lovely lady she became. Quiet by nature but strong at heart, Theresa enjoyed time with her friends and took pride in her cleaning work, particularly at the surgeries of Drs Quinn, Motupalli and Kundu. She didn’t simply clean, she cared about her work and each day, with a smile on her face, she gave her very best.

Theresa was a great cook, making the best baked eggs, with bacon and tomatoes, broth and dumplings, and her super tasty potato pie. She had a good humour, a warm smile, and a natural urge to care for everyone before herself. She waited on Bill hand and foot because, to Theresa, caring was an expression of love. And Bill, for his part, simply couldn’t bear to be without her. Whenever Theresa went out on her errands he always told her to hurry back.

She loved to watch all the soaps on TV and quiz programs too. She loved her puzzle books and lived for her weekly Inside Soaps magazine. She thoroughly enjoyed her Saturday trips to Bury Market, and was the undisputed scratch card queen saving them up and cashing them in all at once.

Life revolved very much around family for Theresa and she was inspirational in her care and devotion to them all. She was the best grandma and great grandma. Now re-united with her beloved husband Bill, son Ricky and daughter Margaret.

Remembered with love today and always.
