Memorial Book
Peacefully on 22nd November 2025, Pam, aged 92 years, formerly of Simonstone. The devoted wife of the late Peter Jelley, much-loved mum of Mark and Pip and dear mother-in-law of Mandy and Chris. Grandma of Darren, Emma, Philip and Patrick, great-grandma (GG) of Georgia, Thea, Oliver, Sophie and Clover, and a good relative, neighbour and friend to many.
Pam devoted her life to staying busy. She was a passionate and active member of the local church and community, sang in two choirs, was former President of both the WI and the Burnley District Speaker’s Club. A former JP, Pam volunteered her time for many years at Burnley Magistrates Court. She adored children, and throughout the years she ran several children’s playgroups. She even wrote her own children’s storybook, Jelley Babies. A passionate and talented cook, Pam loved nothing more than being in her kitchen creating delicious meals for her family. For a time, she even hosted her own cookery show on Radio Lancashire. Creative at heart, Pam wrote many stories and poems. She also enjoyed a lifetime of crafting, from embroidery to dressmaking, quilling, decoupage and making toys. Pam was always ready to learn a new skill and pass that knowledge onto others.
Pam disliked funerals and black clothing so please feel free to wear bright colours at hers, reflecting her vibrant and colourful personality.
No flowers please. Donations are being gratefully received on behalf of the British Red Cross and The Children’s Society.

I was so sorry to hear from Pip, that her Mum had died. I was very fond of Pam and Peter, my parents Sally and Gerald were good friends with Pam and Peter, I got to know them first through them, and later. When I used to help them with cleaning, shopping or anything they needed a hand with. We became very good friends, and I got to know Pip and Chris and Mark and Mandy , and I met a lot of the grandchildren and great grandchildren. A lovely family.
My sincerest heartfelt condolences to you all, Pam will be missed a great deal by everyone that knew her. She is reunited with her beloved husband Peter in heaven.
God bless you all.
