Kenneth Whittaker

Peacefully with his wife by his side at his home on 14th November 2025, Kenneth aged 88 years of Arnside and formerly of Baxenden. The devoted and much loved husband of Frances, loved father of Roy, Ian and Alan and a cherished grandfather, relative and friend.

Kenneth began his working life as a farm labourer, spending his early years on various farms across Haslingden and Helmshore before becoming an HGV driver. He had a true passion for driving and cherished the freedom of the open road. When he wasn’t working, he loved taking leisurely days out in the car with his beloved wife, Frances.

Holidays were always a highlight for Kenneth. He especially treasured their regular trips to Australia to visit family, which eventually led Kenneth and Frances to live there for two years between 2005 and 2007. Together, they enjoyed many wonderful adventures, including several memorable luxury cruises.

At home, Kenneth found joy in simple pleasures. He loved settling down to watch his favourite television programmes or sitting by the window of his apartment, quietly observing the world go by.
