Susan Louise Lyver

Peacefully passed away at Royal Blackburn Hospital on Monday, 27th October 2025, aged 68 years of Clayton le Moors.

The much loved daughter of the late Geoff and the late Doreen, devoted mum to Wendy, Steven, Simon and Daniel, and treasured Nan to Joshua, Kayla, Scarlett and Bethany. Susan was also a dear friend to many and will be greatly missed by her loyal companion, Molly the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

Susan was a strong, determined and loving mother who raised her family single handedly, supported always by her beloved mum and dad. She cherished family trips to North Wales and had a deep love of the countryside, which reminded her of happy childhood caravan holidays and her lifelong appreciation of nature and wildlife. Later in life, she continued to enjoy peaceful moments in her parents’ garden in Rishton, spending time with her mum and dad, watching the world go by.

A true Coronation Street fan, Susan never missed an episode. Her favourite time of day was settling down with a cup of tea and an L&B cigarette, ready to enjoy her soaps.

Susan will be remembered for her warmth, humour and kind hearted nature. She had a wonderful ability to talk to anyone and could strike up a conversation wherever she went whether chatting with neighbours or making new friends at the local Co-op. She truly was a people’s person who touched the lives of all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Family flowers only please, donations are being greatly recieved on behalf of Cancer Support UK a charity close to Susan’s heart. A donation box will be also be provided on the funeral.
