Peacefully at her home on 11th July 2017, May aged 85 years of Rishton.  The devoted wife of the late Tom, loving mother of David and Stephen, mother-in-law of the late Janet, cherished grandma of Emily and Kathryn, dear sister of Doreen and sister-in-law of Albert.

In her younger years, May worked in a bakery, before becoming a housewife and bringing up her two sons.  May travelled worldwide and the family lived in both Holland and Brazil for a period of time due to Tom's work.  In her spare time, May enjoyed gardening and painting pottery and even trained at night school to teach pottery painting.  She also enjoyed her visits to Prime Time Luncheon club.  May was an excellent baker and cook and loved to treat her house visitors to biscuits and cakes.  She was also a devoted grandma who always looked forward to family visits.

Former Power Station Worker

On 2nd July 2017 peacefully in his sleep, James aged 89 years of Clayton-le-Moors.  The devoted husband of the late Joan, dad of David and Michael, father-in-law of Janette, grandad of Michael Jnr and Victoria.

James worked at Huncoat Power Station prior to retiring when it closed down.  James lived a good life.  He enjoyed his holidays both in the UK and worldwide and had a particular soft spot for Scotland.  He loved to travel with his late wife Joan and later on his own.  James was an avid reader of both crime and fiction.  He also enjoyed being a grandfather.

No flowers by special request.  Donations, if desired, in memory of James on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Much loved and respected former teacher

Suddenly at his home in Blackrod, Bolton on 19th June 2017 Trevor aged 59 years and formerly of Clitheroe. The dear son of Dorothy and Arthur and much loved and devoted relative and friend to many.
A well respected and admired former drama teacher at Ladybridge High School, Bolton (formerly The Deane High School). Trevor was commited to his career and was much loved and respected by his pupils. He loved to travel around the UK, Europe and worldwide relaxing and taking in the local scenery. He also enjoyed spending time looking around the local shops and markets adding another purchase to his ever growing collection of souvenirs.Trevor always looked forward to his trips to the theatre to watch the latest shows and musicals. When a family celebration was needed Trevor would come in to his own and take over the organising making sure the venue was suitably decorated ready to receive his guests who would be sure to have a ball. Trevor had a twinkle in his eye and always made people smile with his fantastic sense of humour. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Flowers are welcome to the Chapel of Rest, or Donations are being invited in Trevor's memory on behalf of the British Heart Foundation.

Bright clothing is welcome to be worn to reflect Trevor's colourful personality.

"Rocket Ronnie" - Popular and well-liked local man

On 23rd June 2017 suddenly at his home in Accrington, Ronnie aged 62 years.  Much loved dad of Shane, Maxine, Nicky, Leanne, Neil and Michelle, and a good friend to many.

Ronnie was a happy go lucky character and a well-known face in the local pubs.  He enjoyed being in company and made lots of friends wherever he went.  He liked people and he liked a drink too.  He liked music and watching tv, especially war films and westerns.  He was loving, caring, open and honest and he will be remembered for being a loveable rogue.
