Jack Holland

On 15th October 2022, peacefully in a private care home, Jack, aged 84years of Longridge, formerly of Accrington and Haslingden. The much loved and loving husband of the late Connie, much loved dad of Jeremy, loving grandad of Lola and Jacob, also a dear brother, brother in law and uncle.

Jack began his working life  the Co-op and progressed to Branch Manager. He then worked for Kraft Foods as a travelling salesman and also worked for Food Brokers, ultimately finishing as Sales Manager for Pearl Assurance. Jack loved animals, particularly dogs and was passionate about Beagles all his life. He has a wonderful eye for a fine dog and trained and nurtured them. He also loved choral signing firstly at St James Parish Church in Haslingden and then becoming a choir member at Blackburn Cathedral, where he made many friends. Jack was a devoted family man and was very much a homebird. He adored being a grandad to Jacob, encouraging him with his football and cricket and Lola inherited her grandad’s love of dogs. In 2021, Jack and Connie celebrated 60 years of unconditional love together and are now re-united for all eternity.

Remembering with love two wonderful people in Jack & Connie Holland whom we have known for about 70 years from our days at St James Church, Haslingden, then from Burnley Road, Accrington and also from St John’s Church, Accrington. May God bless you both as you are reunited and help Jeremy & family to come to terms with their sad loss by remembering such a wonderful couple who celebrated over 60 years of marriage.
