Much loved family man

With dignity and in peace at Haslingden Hall Care Home on 28th October 2016, Jim aged 85 years formerly of Wooley Lane, Baxenden. Loving husband of the late Jean, much loved Dad of Caroline, Julie and Janet, dear father-in-law of John and Alan, and cherished grandpa of Lauren, Justin, Nicholas, Joshua, Mark and Sarah.

In times of darkness, love sees…
In times of silence, love hears...
In times of doubt, love hopes…
In times of sorrow, love heals...
And in all times, love remembers.
May time soften the pain
Until all that remains

Much loved lady

On 28th October 2016 suddenly in hospital, Janice, aged 67 years of Accrington.  The dearly loved mum of Dean and Rachel, loving mother-in-law of Ryan, devoted grandma of James, Megan, Thomas and Millie, and dear sister of Tony, Val and Ted.

Janice, a former auxiliary nurse at Royal Blackburn Hospital, was a positive, bubbly lady who had a unique way of expressing herself.  She liked nothing better than sitting out in the sunshine and was a familiar sight on the bench outside her home where bus drivers often waved to her.  Devoted to her family, Janice also loved socialising with her friends who were a big part of her life.  Much fun was had on her girlie weekends in Blackpool and sunshine holidays in Majorca and Benidorm.  In her spare time she enjoyed reading romance novels and often took up new hobbies that she never got round to finishing.  She was a fun person to be around and made everyone feel happy.

A truly house proud lady

On 23rd October peacefully in Hospital Carol aged 73 years of Haslingden. The devoted and much loved mum of Vera, Roy and Ian, dear mother-in-law of John and Nicky, cherished gran of Nathan, Thomas and Eva and , dear sister of Peter and John and a treasured sister in law to Jean.

Carol spent her working life as a weaver at Ilex Mill until its closure in the early 1980’s. A true homemaker Carol moved to her Haslingden home in 1975 and created a true family nest, her house was always kept immaculate and her small yard garden bloomed with colour throughout the year. Devoted to her family she loved nothing more than giving her time to her children and took great pleasure from visiting their homes to give them a good spring clean. Carol’s life became complete when she became a grandma and loved nothing more than spoiling them at any given chance. She enjoyed many days out with her family visiting various national trust sites. 
No Flowers or Donations by request
Following the Funeral Service all who have attended are invited for refreshments and to share fond memories of Carol at Do-Dah's Bistro, Bank Street, Rawtenstall BB4 7QN

Bingo lover and devoted family man

On 19th October 2016 peacefully in hospital in Scotland, John aged 83 years. Devoted and loving husband of the late Joan, loving dad of Paul and Mark, a dear father-in-law and loving grandad of Lisa.

John spent his national service with the Lancashire Fusiliers and served for a time in Korea.  Upon leaving the army, his working life was spent as a bricklayer and he was hard working and practical.  He was totally devoted to his wife Joan and was a loving family man.  He enjoyed playing bingo with his brother Den and he also spent many happy hours playing on fruit machines. He enjoyed socialising at the local pub with his friends and Sundays were always happy family days.  He loved his KFC and enjoyed watching nature programmes and all the soaps in his later years.  After Joan passed away, John moved to Scotland with his son Mark, where he spent a happy ten years.  John will be remembered for his happy fun loving ways.
